Pictures are invaluable in the world of eCommerce. Some distributors may not provide images for some products, or you may find that you wish to add or update images for products offered by your own business. This article will cover applying images to individual products. In order to assign images to multiple products at once, you will need to utilize the IMPORT/EXPORT to mass import products with images.
In order to add product images, you will need to navigate to CATALOG > MANAGE PRODUCTS and choose the product that you wish to add images for.
Once you've located the product that you wish to add an image to, you will need to click on the product to open its Product Information page. Once open, you will need to select the Images tab.
On this page, you will see any images already assigned to this product (if any) and have the ability to add new images to this product. You can choose which images to apply to the product using the Browse Files button. Once your images have been selected, you will then need to select Upload Files.
After all the images have been uploaded, you will need to select which image will be your Base Image, Small Image, and Thumbnail. The rest of the photos you upload to the product will show up in the "More Views" section of the product page. Finally, you will want to click Save at the top right.
*If you do not select a Base Image, Small Image, and a Thumbnail after you upload your image(s), the image will not display on the website.
Once you've finished applying images to all your products, you'll want to flush cache and reindex if necessary:
SYSTEM > CACHE MANAGEMENT. Select Flush Cache Storage at the top right of the page.
SYSTEM > INDEX MANAGEMENT. Select All, Submit next to Reindex Data at the top right of the page.
