When a customer first enters your website, the first thing most of them will notice is the sliding banners displaying products, sales, and services on your homepage. It's a great way to advertise the sense of fun or adventure associated with the products you are selling.
So why not catch the eye of your customers on every page?
Just like your sliding homepage banner, you can create and add banners to the category pages of your site.
You will first need to create the banner for the category page you have in mind.

Adding Banners to Static Blocks
In order to place banners on category pages, you will need to place the banner into a static block using the Easyslide Widget.
Navigate to CMS > STATIC BLOCKS and select Add New Block.
Once the new block template is displayed select Add Widget and select EasySlide from the drop-down options.
After selecting Easyslide, a second drop-down will appear where you will select the Easyslide Banner you wish to use.
Select Insert Widget once you have chosen the banner you wish to add to this static block, then Save Block.
Displaying the Banner on the Category Page
Next, you will need to navigate to CATALOG > MANAGE CATEGORIES, select the category you would like the banner displayed on and select the Display Settings tab.
In the display mode field, you will need to select to show the Static Block and Products.
In the CMS Block drop-down, select the static block you added the widget too.
Now you can Save the Category.
Now you'll want to flush cache and reindex if necessary:
SYSTEM > CACHE MANAGEMENT. Select Flush Cache Storage at the top right of the page.
SYSTEM > INDEX MANAGEMENT. Select All, Submit next to Reindex Data at the top right of the page.
After flushing the cache, the category page on the front-end of your website should now display your banner!
