Customers are busy and sometimes they are too busy to complete their online shopping. If a customer visits your site, adds products to their cart, then never completes the checkout process- that cart is considered abandoned. With MailChimp's abandoned cart feature, the customers who have abandoned shopping carts can be notified through an automation created by you and can retrieve the items they once wished to purchase or empty the cart if they choose.
This feature is located under MailChimp when navigating SYSTEM > CONFIGURATION.
To start, you must enable the Abandoned Cart feature.
Select a start date which will begin the tracking process of abandoned carts.
Carts created or abandoned before this date will be ignored.
The Redirect Page is the page the customer will be directed to after receiving the notification of the abandoned cart. You can choose to redirect them back to the shopping cart, to your home page (possibly to see new items or promotions) or any other page of your website.
Cart amount to be sent per run refers to the number of abandoned carts that will be sent through the automation you create during each run of the queue.
You can set this number as low or as high as you want it.

Once your settings are final, SAVE CONFIG.
Now you'll need to flush cache and reindex:
SYSTEM > CACHE MANAGEMENT. Select Flush Cache Storage at the top right of the page.
SYSTEM > INDEX MANAGEMENT. Select All, Submit next to Reindex Data at the top right of the page.
